Mixed Marriages + Hindu =

In rural India, it's still forbidden to have mixed marriages. Outside India, every person is getting use to it and tries to discover this new quest. Visionaries praise it as the making of a multinational, golden race that will bring peace to the planet. Some of your bordering associates have done it and everybody gossips about it-mixed marriages. By all estimates, it will only increase. Unhurriedly, Hindu society is facing it and declaration it's a lot better to converse about it and optimistically change to it when it happens, rather than bury it, fight it or disregard it.  

An article I found which states an incident that explained the racism, religion, etc Hindu marriage is very on the up rise. A group of nationalist militants busted into a Marriage Registrar’s office in Jabalpur in to stop the joining together between women who they claimed was a Hindu – and a Christian. After disturbing the ceremony, they stated that anti-Hindu activities will not be tolerated on Indian soil. Many marriages have been blocked by this particular group, and they believed that it’s simply a marriage that steals the members of their community, and Hinduism. Which in my case isn’t a true fact in my Anthropology class we discussed the meaning of marriage, and love in a household. When a person is in love it cannot be defined by anyone only by those two individuals. When a set of citizens who strappingly believe in their religion approach it’s a dilemma but today in the present it has altered drastically.

How concerned are parents about their sons and daughters finding interreligious partners? I feel that interracial dating and marriage are still quite foreign to many Hindu parents’ generation. Their marriages were arranged with other Indians and mostly successful, so they cling instinctively to the simple logic: "If it worked for us, it will work for you." I think this happens in all society-parents worrying about love, race and religion. We shouldn't think that this happens only among the Hindu community, but it does, and the ground breaking barrier it’s slowly coming to light for all religions, etc.

When most Hindu son’s and daughters transition in the world they come in contact to numerous indivuals who love them for whom they are. It’s hard for parents to see many of them following not a tradition which perhaps older, more traditional Hindus would follow such as marrying within their own faith, or having an arranged marriage. Now in the Hindu community it’s not as common these days many Hindu weddings have a lot of rituals, which mean a lot many of the activities may take two to three days at the most.

Also a lot of pre wedding rituals that many newlyweds have to go through involving the Hindu God which removes all obstacles and bless the couple, Then another tradition where the family ,such as the aunts, uncles ,parents ,etc come and pray for the couple. Lot of times Hindu weddings are held at a temple of some sort but now they are mostly held at hotels, banquet halls, and etc.The amount of money you spend trying to perform this ceremony is over 30,000 dollars but it means a lot to the Hindu religion. Also mixed religion ceremonies are taking place now that gives wedding a new twist to things.
